It's a Start

When Lyla started crawling, we began to have a little trouble with Destin. He didn't like that this little "blob" (so to speak) could now suddenly move and disturb the house he once ruled. When Lyla started walking, Destin really began to have a hard time. Anytime, Lyla would start moving his way, he would run upstairs where he knew she couldn't go. I guess you can understand why we call him our "little, old man."

But, as time has gone by, and Destin has learned to trust Lyla a little more, he's actually finding out the benefits of being her friend. She trickles down food from the dinner table to feed Destin. Or, she picks up his favorite green ball and throws it to him over and over again. She also has learned how to make him sit. I think he's starting to come around. This may be a start to a beautiful friendship :)

I work for a King.

I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.
