Tyler and I have been lovin' on hummus lately. Hummus is kind of expensive so I thought I'd try making up my own hummus recipe to see if we would like it.
2 cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 can of water
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. cumin
dash of black pepper
Just throw everything in a blender/food processor and blend until smooth. Thin it out with water as needed and store in the refrigerator.
Let's just say, I won't be buying pre-made hummus anymore :)
YUM!

I work for a King.
I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.

Thanks for the recipe! I look forward to making some of my own. I have been putting humus on a whole grain wrap, it's a great little pick-me-up during the middle of the day. =)
