Creating Spring in a Snow Globe

It's just downright dreary up here in Erie, however we did get to see the smallest glimpse of Spring a few days ago. All of the snow melted in our entire yard and the temps were like 60 degrees!! It was so refreshing to see the sun. Even so, two days later we were hit with another dreadful snow storm, so Lyla and I decided that we're going to have to create our own version of Spring around this town. Someone had a little too much fun!!
I bought these really cute popsicle molds from here. My recipe for the fruit popsicles are to follow:
Ingredients:
3/4 cup strawberries (or frozen strawberries that have been thawed)
3/4 cup blueberries
1 banana
14 oz. greek non-fat yogurt
1/4 cup white sugar

Directions:
Process all ingredients in a blender. Pour into popsicle molds. Freeze for at least 4 hours, but even better if left frozen overnight.

I'm so excited to try some more recipes for popsicles. I'm thinking I'm going to do chocolate-coconut ones next out of Ellie Krieger's, "So Easy." Tyler has put in his request for lemonaid popsicles. YUM YUM!!

In other news, I'm in the process of making a quilt. Just like most of my projects, I usually whip out the first 3/4 of the project in like a day or so and the last 1/4 of the project takes me weeks to get to. Is anyone else out there like that? I don't like that about myself... Anyways, I have already completed the quilt top and I'm waiting on my quilt batting to come in the mail so I can bind this puppy up and let Lyla roll all over it! Gotta have a pretty quilt for the little sisters to play on right??

Adah is doing wonderful and I'm getting bigger than ever :) Heard her little heart beat just a few days ago at my dr. appt. and I'm measuring right on schedule (for a June 8th-9th) delivery. Lyla has a little bit of a cough, runny nose, fever illness for about a week now. She's such a trooper though, even when she's sick her energy is still normal.

Other than that, we've just been spring cleaning around here, getting rid of clothes we don't wear and home stuff we don't use and giving it all to the Salvation Army. It's so nice to get rid of the clutter!!

Ash, these look SO delicious! Do you remember when you we used to make these when you were little? We had Tupperware ones but I wasn't nearly as creative as you...we'd use orange juice or something :)
And, Lyla sweet girl...YOU ARE YUMMY AND YOUR NONNIE ADORES YOU!

I work for a King.

I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.
