My parents always told me when I was little, "Wait until you have children and you'll realize how much we love you." I never understood, never took the time to understand, and yet could never fathom the feeling until I did have children. They were right...
I never knew my heart could melt every single morning when I get Lyla out of bed and she sings with me "Good morning, God. This is your day. I am your child. Show me your way."
I never knew that when she would grab my hand, I would follow anywhere she would take me.
I never knew that in the middle of the night when I'm dead tired, my eyes could tear up as my little Adah sleeps in the crook of my arm, peacefully.
I never knew that at the end of the day, when Tyler and I get into bed that I would praise God for giving me another day with my family.
I love my little family with all of my heart and I'm so thankful that God has blessed me by allowing me to be a stay-at-home mom. My Father cares about the desires of my heart. My Father loves me infinitely more than I could ever love my own children.

I work for a King.
I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.
