Happy Birthday Lyla

Lyla had a wonderful first birthday yesterday. I can't believe my little girl is one. Here are some pictures from her birthday week. It is a week long celebration, right? ;)

In her birthday outfit Nonnie made especially for her :)
Presents from the grandparents- Pop, Gigi, Nonnie and Papa
Presents from Great Mimi and Pop
She loves her ball pit from Great Mimi and Pop
Strawberry birthday cake with cream cheese frosting-- and of course, pink sprinkles!
We let Destin join in the birthday celebrations too with slice of strawberry cake
And finally, RiRi the doll made especially by her Momma for my baby's one year birthday.

Happy birthday my little Glory Girl. You are so special to me and your Dadda. We can't believe how fast this year has gone by and we could have never imagined the joy we've felt as we spent your first year of life together. Thank you to everyone for the calls, texts, and presents for our little one. We love ya'll.

I was certainly thinking of Lyla yesterday as she and I share birthdays. Looks like she got pretty spoiled by her grandparents (as it should be). And the doll you made is so cute! Happy birthday Lyla & and miss you Ashley!

I work for a King.

I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.
