Bows and Tempers

Today I began a bow spree... See, I've had trouble finding bows I liked for Lyla because her head is smaller than average. I've made bows for big headbands, small headbands, fabric roses and flowers, but nothing quite looked right. Lyla's at the age now that she'll just rip off any headband I put on her. So, I decided to make her small bows that just clip in her hair. I went to Walmart and ended up getting all of my ribbon half off!! Each of the bows cost me 9 cents...gotta love that! Their totally easy to make. If you need any help on how to make a bow, I used this tutorial--- Hair Bow Tutorial

And today Lyla has learned a new behavior...temper tantrums... YIKES. I have to admit they are absolutely hillarious (most likely because they are new to me). I was getting her dress this morning and she sat on the floor shaking her head back and forth and kicking her legs saying " Di, di, di, di, di, di!" This new "di, di" word must mean "I'm getting frusterated, Momma!!" I know very soon we'll be molding her into more appropriate ways to express her feelings but for right now, I'll let her figure these emotions out her way :)

Sometimes we have to laugh at Henry's tantrums too...they can just be ridiculous.

Love the ribbons! My mother made all of my sister's and my ribbons too. Great job!

I work for a King.

I work for a King. He has put me in charge of His home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him.
Therefore I want to dress my best, and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.
